About Emmy
I’ve lived in Virginia Beach since the age of four. I graduated from Landstown High school with an honors diploma, an average GPA above 4.0, and an art concentration in 2003. I earned a personal fitness trainer certificate in 2004 and earned the National Board of Fitness Examiner’s certificate in 2005.
My interest in therapeutic body work began after a fitness client introduced me to Bonnie Prudden’s Pain Erasure. I completed the massage therapy program at the Virginia School of Technology (now Fortis) and became Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2005.
I became a Reflexologist in 2006 and learned Raindrop Technique in 2007 through the Cayce-Reilly School of Massotherapy. I completed Upledger’s CranioSacral Level 1 course in 2007. I became a certified Bellanina Facelift Massage practitioner in January 2008, and renewed the certificate in 2012 when their course received a “facelift” which included minor changes such as the introduction of acupressure points. I completed Bamboossage training for table and chair and Fijian barefoot massage training in 2012 as well as ashiatsu floor training in 2013. I also became a member of RAVA, or Reflexology Association of Virginia at the end of 2013. Currently I practice massage at Massage Envy Spa in Loehmann’s Plaza (Virginia Beach near the central library) and Massage Envy Spa in Landstown Commons. I have taken advantage of Massage Envy’s continuing education benefits and I’ve added manual lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, and Massage Envy’s Total Body Stretch to the services I offer. I consider massage therapy one of the best decisions I have ever made.
